This car has a secret, read on!

The Commission # is CF11062U look it up and see for your self!
This one will be an easy cosmetic restoration job, well worth it in the effort. I bought it with the hopes of turning it into a rally /poker run car, and have done all the hard, and expensive work. But have had to down sized my work and storage space so it has to find a new home, along with another TR6 and lots of extra parts. So if this one doesn't tickle your fancy have a look at the others. PLEASE look at the pictures and ask any questions you need, I will be happy to answer or set up a time for you or your agent to inspect the car. I will list the good bad and ugly as best I can, and with all honesty.
I will start at the ground and go from there.
Tires and wheels are in fair shape, I drive the car on short trips with no problems or fear of blow out. I was going to replace with red lines when the paint and body was complete. The spare is a Micheline red line and in fine shape.
Now for the secret! The car has had a total mechanical re build! everything that moves is new or rebuilt, and every bushing is new to boot! The work was done by British sports car works in Port St Lucie Fl. Here is a partial list of what was done. All components were removed from the car, engine, transmission, drive train and suspension. The front suspension was blasted and powder coated, re bushed and replaced. The steering rack was rebuilt an replaced. The king pins and bearings are all new, as are the break disc's and calipers and pads. the same was done for the rear. ( It stops as well as a modern car!) The engine had a top end done and the rest checked and passed. The transmission was rebearinged and bushed. The drive shaft has all new u joints and was balanced. The rear end was totally rebuilt and the new style mounting kit installed, with new bushings and hardware. Both rear trailing arms are new as are the frame mounts and of corse..everybody now, bushings and hardware. Both outer hubs are new as are the shocks and links. Everything is powder coated black and all hardware is stainless, all bushings are urethane sport tune. All brake lines are new as is the master cylinder and slaves. Clutch master is new and the slave is a rebuilt one. Both carbs and the fuel pump are rebuilt. All total $7349.70 in work and parts.
The seats are in great shape as is most of the interior with exception of the dash wood. (needs to be replaced) carpet is fair and the dash pad is good.
For the outside, front outer fenders are replaced, rear fenders, doors, rear skirt and rockers are good. hood, trunk lid and rear deck have rust and should be replaced or repaired. Floor tub and trunk are good as is battery tray and inner fenders. There is a small hole on the right side inner tub above the passenger foot well. there are other minor issues with surface rust and liberal filler application but not on parts that were in need of replacing as mentioned above. The front bumper and skirt were damaged by a shall we say tow truck driver with a pole for a family tree. I have the new bumper supports and the air dam, but did not locate a new bumper yet. The front skirt is an easy fix. My intent was to remove and fog the body and drop it back on the frame. But not having a dedicated shop space to do the paint and body work, and a car port is not the place for anything like that! well it need a new home.
The glass is in good shape, no cracks or fogging, and the top and frame are good. There is also a boot cover and toneau cover with it.
The car is currently registered and driven around town and made a 6 hour round trip last month. It handles like an Indy car and goes like a scalded ape! and stops like my wife at a yard sale!
The title is on hand and clear Florida.
Electrical is as good as Lucas gets ( if you have delt with Lucas electric you know why Britain never had a space program) Headlights, tail lights and directionals work as do the gages, but marker lights and interior light are sketchy at best.
Have a look at the pictures, I have tried to get all the good and bad in there. It doesn't look so great but if you recall the term sleeper car, this is one!
I think that about covers it, I am sure I have missed something, so please ask any and all questions you need. I will be happy to send detailed pictures (with in reason, one person asked me to remove the head of a tractor and photograph the the valves, ummm no ) I would love to see this car get back on the road, or at least some part of it, but I just don't have the room or time to do it This is one of four Triumphs I own now and 1 of 2 for auction now. I WILL NOT PART OUT THE CAR, ALL OR NOTHING!
