Vehicle Description
Up for auction is a 1979 Triumph Spitfire 1500. This Spit. is not a show car ,but a very clean car that I purchased from the original owner . The car has a current Pa. inspection and runs and drives very well . The odometer reads 6998 and was sold to me at around 4800 miles as original in 2001. The car has no rust other than a little surface rust around the clutch slave cylinder which leaked and was replaced . The underside of the car was rust proofed with rusty jones by the owner when new . As far as I know this car has been garaged all its life. I have the original bill of sale by the first owner and dealer inventory sheet . I also have a tonneau cover, full body cover, conv. boot cover and two repair manuals for this car. The car was purchased from Al Filippone Inc. 3/5/1980 for $5,900.00 . The Spit has a 4 speed gear box with no overdrive . The air pump/ filters has been removed on this car . I still have the parts that were removed . I have replaced the tires because of there age when I first purchased the car . I also have replaced all hoses,fluids, the clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder, plugs/ wires and recently the fuel pump and battery . I have reciepts for all the work I have done on the car . There is a snap missing shown in one photo and one little stone ding on the bonnett that I could not photo , very subtle . This car is being sold as is.
