This Triumph GT6 is a non-running but complete car with NO TITLE. It would make an excellent parts car for someone doing a GT6 restoration, or for a Spit-6/Sixfire conversion. The car is easily maneuverable, and can be rolled onto a transport at the time of sale. Will not ship, must be picked up.
Exterior: The paint is a respray of the original red, and is just fair in condition. It does not have much gloss, but is not peeling off or missing in any areas. The body gaps are decent, and everything opens and closes. The bonnet is in great shape, with no major rust or dents. The front chrome bumper is straight but needs rechroming. The rear bumper is bent. The wheels need a repaint. The tires hold air but are very old and need replacement. All glass is present and not cracked. it cleans up very nicely.
Interior: The interior is stripped of all carpets, and the rear cargo area seems to be missing its cover. The dash is in pretty poor condition, but is all there. The seats are definitely usable, with only minor tearing in a few spots. The headliner is a little dirty but is also usable. The wiring seems to be all there, but is untested and of unknown condition.
Underside: This car sat for the previous 10 years, so the underside is pretty dirty, and rust has set in at many spots on the bodywork. The floors, sills, and rear fender lips would need attention if someone had the ambition to restore this car. the rear suspension is the Rotoflex design, and all components are present. The frame is dirty and has surface corrosion. There is one area of rust-through towards the front of the frame.
Mechanical: Since the car is not running, the only mechanical information we can provide is from a visual inspection. The car did not have a front end in place, so I completely rebuilt the front suspension. All components were sanblasted, inspected, painted and reassembled. The shocks, brake discs, bushings, bearings, and all hardware was replaced with new. The rest of the mechanical components are as-is. The engine is free, but of unknown condition. The carbs are present and the pistons are not siezed. The gearbox is unknown as well, but everything is here. The car has no brake components currently installed. The master cylinders, calipers, shoes, lines, etc. will be included but are not installed.
We recently purchased a huge supply of NOS, New and used Triumph parts, and will be continuously making unique, rare, and valuable items available to the eBay audience. Thanks for bidding!
