You are bidding on my personal 1992 Porsche 968 Coupe (PCA Member). I puchased the car about 4 years ago with 117,xxx miles and currently has 118,955. In this time, I have had a timing belt and roller service, waterpump is fine per Porsche Dealer in Syracuse NY where it was done. (Documented). There are only about 2700 Porsche 968 coupes from the years 1992-1995 in the U.S. This vehicle has a 4 cylinder 3.0L motor.
The vehicle leaks no oil and the motor is very strong and responsive. I previously owned a 1987 944 Turbo with 133K which had a great amount of power (217 Stock), however had the turbo lag. This vehicle provides about 240 HP stock and has no lag.
I recently purchased a brand new set of 19 in. Wheels and Tires (Vredestein) for $3000.00, and are pictured on the car. The car's original wheels are stored in my garage. Also there is a new battery and Battery Saver off switch which saves from charging the battery when it is not in use, bought from Griot's. It works wonderful.
There is a slight grind into 3rd gear, and a noise from the gearbox while the clutch is out, which I found from my date of delivery, which the seller did not disclose to me, and I have all the e-mails of my questions still available to show. I have diagnosed the issue with my Porsche Dealer mechanic and he believes when I chose too, the best would be a rebuilt or used gearbox, however this does not need to be done unless the owner wishes to. The clutch is tight and and is in great shape per the Porsche dealership.
This car is fast and a head turner. I have many records for the vehicle, other than my own.
In my care, this vehicle has not seen any adverse weather, let alone water, unless it is from my hose to wash it. Look at the pics, you will see yourself.
With the reserve price, the 968 will come with the pictured wheels and the wheels that came with it (17's and tires)
