Here we have up for auction a 1986 Porsche 944. The vehicle is black with linen interior, and phone dial wheels. First off , we do not have the title for this vehicle. We obtained the vehicle in a bulk purchase, and the owner could not find the title at the time of purchase. We were only going to use the car for parts, so we did not pursue the title. The vehicle is actually in pretty nice shape condsidering age and mileage. I did start and lot drive the vehicle when we aquired it about two years ago. I jumped the battery, and it started right up. It seemed to run well, although, I believe that I could hear a light connecting rod knock, and the previous owner stated that it needed rod bearings.I did not drive on the road, so cannot guarantee the condition of the trans/ clutch. The body is in overall decent shape. THere are a couple of small dings, and scratches, and minor surface rust on the lower rear quarters, but still is decent. The interior is typical with seat bolster wear, and the normal dash cracks. The heater control panel is missing. With a little clean up work is stilll presentable. One of the rear plastic bumper extensions is broken. The engine is the standard Porsche 2.5 litre, with a 5 speed manual transmission. The brake rotors are pretty rusty from sitting, and the vehicle was a little resistant to move ( about a month ago) , but one tug with the truck, and all four wheels were turning. This vehicle will be for local pick up only, however , we will be glad to help you in any way we can with shipping, or can help you load it onto a trailer. A title can be aquired legally for around $300.00. We have done this before. I can give you contact #'s for this service.
