The condition of this car is nearly flawless, the drivers side seat bolster shows wear - everything else excellent condition - almost everything is either new, custom made or reconditioned. The items that were modified are shown on the pictures, however, the engine was recently upgraded with better heads and cam making an estimated 460 HP and 480 lbs torque. I purchased this car in October 2004 with the sole purpose of making a daily driving 928 with all the modern conveniences you would expect from a new Corvette, including similar performance. From the start was a program to redesign the car as a street machine that would be Chevy powered to take care of the two main problems with the 928 series - a lack of low end torque, and reduce the maintenance costs. All of the work has been professionally done and I have all the receipts which add up to almost $90,000. The car was appraised two years ago at $59,000 - since then I have added another $5,000 in modifications. Virtually everything that can wear was replaced since I've purchased this car - brakes, oil lines, shocks, tires, wheels, etc.
The engine is built by Cheney Performance one of the nation's top engine builders, the body work was done by Vescio's Customizing a multiple award winning body shop, the interior by Premiere... in other words only the best.
The reason for the sale is that I'm building a new home and am looking to raise funds for it. The car has won first place in class for most shows I've entered it - it's recieved a Peoples Choice Award at Car Craft Summer National (out of 5,000 cars), and is a two time winner at World of Wheels.
The car blows cold A/C and even has a rear condenser. The doors are remote opening and the 928 is entirely made of Stainless Steel and Aluminum which is why they never rust. We drove it on the Hot Rod Power Tour where it got 17MPG average.
