1979 Porsche 928. Metallic blue. The color is a correct Porsche color, but not correct for this car. In very nice shape and a reliable driver. Used daily. TRUE MILEAGE IS NOT KNOWN. Please see below for explanation.
V8, automatic transaxle, four wheel independent suspension, four wheel disc brakes. Has recently new tires mounted on Porsche 968 wheels. The body is nice with no rust or dents. The paint job could be better but is functionally good.
Interior is tan leather with black trim. Original, not altered. In very good condition for the year. Some corners coming apart but overall not shoddy in appearance. Seats in good shape. Has Porsche CD deck installed.
This car will make a nice restoration project. Pretty much all original and not altered. Here is a list of what has been replaced or renewed:
Alternator, radiator and cooling system, brakes all around, wheel bearing service, transaxle serviced, tuneup and oil pan gasket. The timing belt has been replaced along with the water pump and thermostat and cam and crankshaft seals. New window switches. Has an appropriate replacement aftermarket muffler that gives a good but not offensively loud sound.
Some things need TLC. The instrument cluster has been replaced so the TRUE MILEAGE IS NOT KNOWN. The tach is inoperative. The electric side view mirror are inoperative. In overview, this would be a great car to drive daily as an ongoing restoration candidate.
This car is owned free and clear. It is not a salvage vehicle. It is being sold by a private individual.

In response to the questions regarding the paint and finish, the quality of the paint itself is good. It is the prior surface preparation that is a bit lacking. The car ought to have been stripped completely and then refinished. There are sanding marks and feather-edging that show through the coats of paint. Otherwise the color, coverage and overall luster are OK.
