1987 Porsche 924S, 5 speed, 75,000 miles. Red with tan cloth interior and "phone dial" aluminium wheels. This is an original paint body which had a "Wal-Mart rash" repair done many years ago at the front of the right hand fender (where the paint is faded). One of the photos shows another parking lot dent on the left quarter panel above the wheel opening. The front lower valance panel is also dented from parking curbs at malls. The rest of the body has no rust except for a small area under the battery in the engine compartment. This has recently created a water leak into the passanger side foot area. I drilled a small 1/4" hole in the rear seat floor so that water would not collect inside the car. Underneath the body is also very clean including the brake and gas lines. As you can see in the photos the passenger's seat upholstery is split. The dash is also split in many places due to exposure to the sun over the years. The engine starts easily every time, runs well and does not smoke. The ignition switch is a bit tricky and sometimes has to be played with inorder to keep the engine running. Once it's running there's no problem. The transmission is quiet and shifts smoothly however there is a driveline "clunk" which sounds like it's coming from the bellhousing during shift changes - almost sounds like a sloppy u-joint. The brakes all feel good and the emergency brake works well however due to sitting the rotors and pads should be changed. The tires also need to be changed due to cracking except for the new one on the right rear. The clutch master and the clutch slave cylinder are new as is the battery. I purchased this car from a 79 year-old German gentleman more than a year ago for my son who just started college. He decided to buy himself a different car so the Porsche has to go. This is a solid rust-free car that needs a little work to be a great daily driver. Selling as-is, where is, NO REFUNDS. Deposit is required within 48 hours of auction closing. Balance of payment in cash, money order or bank draft due within 7 days of auction closing. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up.
