You are bidding on 1973 Porsche 914 with a remanufactured, zero miles Chevy 327. The car is 95% complete. I have invested over $11,000 into this car, not including the many hours of labor, but poor health has caused me to have to set it aside. It only needs to have the exhaust system bolted on connect the existing wiring harness to the engine and you are ready to roll. What is left can easily be done in a weekend. This is my second conversion, so I know how to get it to run cool (180 degrees), this has been done right. Also, the cooling hoses are not run under the car as some do where they are exposed to road hazards.
I have also installed oversized brakes on the front to handle the additional weight. If you have ever driven one of these conversions WITHOUT the bigger brakes, then you know they will stop like a train. I also added cross drilled rotors on the front. I installed Bilstein Shocks in the rear, along with progressively would rear springs (145 lbs pressure 1st inch, 160 for 2nd inch 180 for 3 inch of compression). These type of springs give you good performance, while not making you feel like you are riding on a go-cart.
The Targa top has been sanded smooth and painted primer, as well as the Targa supports. The intention was to eventually paint the top to match the body. I took off the chrome molding of the Targa supports and fiber glassed them smooth to blend into the body as well. The rest of the car is white. Paint job is in OK condition, and there are no dents on the body. There is a 916 bumper on the front. I’ve already discarded the rear bumper, as I had plans to install a 916 rear bumper as too, but have not done so.
There was originally a lot of rust near the battery area (as usual) and under the passenger side rocker panel. Both areas were cut out and had new metal welded in place. Tires have about medium wear on them.
All engine parts were bought from PAW. The block was remanufactured, all other parts are brand new! The conversion kit is from Rod Simpson. The transaxle is a side shifter and works fine. I used to drive it with the original 4 cylinder engine. There are no water leaks to the interior and the interior condition is good. The dash has some cracking on it. For a complete list of the parts that I have installed in the car, or any questions about the car you can email me at buddynlr@comcast.net

One last thing, the pink slip does say "salvage" on it. It was that way when I bought the car. I don't know why, I bought it running and I've been over every inch of this car while modifying it and I can't didn't find any exidence of an accident.
