--> 1994 Pontiac Trans-Am This was the second year for this body style, and it has a very streamlined, clean look as compared to later year Trans-Ams when the bodywork got a little bit more elaborate and somewhat gaudy. It is my personal car. I am the original owner, and bought it new from a local Pontiac dealer in 1994. It needs work, but is in drivable condition. How much you want to spend on it depends on what condition you want to bring it back to. My intent was to keep the car and restore it, but I now lack the funds and time. The car would be good for someone that is willing to put a little work into a car in exchange for a lower initial purchase price. Recent work I've recently spent approximately $3,000.00 in repairs -- having the brakes done, new front struts installed, any worn suspension parts replaced, some broken interior knobs and switches replaced, interior console cover replaced, turn signal switch and level replaced, and some wiring done in the back to replace some worn sockets. All work was professionally done, with the exception of replacing the interior pieces like knobs and switches. What it needs Being mostly plastic, the exterior of the car is in pretty good condition, but has areas of scratches, dings in the paint, and scrapes. The rear quarter panels are metal, and there is some rust bubbling up on the left side, near the tire and gas cap. This area should be repaired, and the whole car could use a fresh coat of paint. The tires are worn, but have a little tread on them. They should be replaced soon. Wheels are stock aluminum alloy with wheel locks. The car has approximately 98,000 miles on it. The engine is strong, and the only thing the professionals say it needs is a new oxygen sensor, because the car sometimes runs poorly when warmed up. It's the stock LT-1 5.7 Liter engine. No other problems with the drivetrain are known to exist. The air-conditioning has a leak in the compressor, so the compressor needs to be replaced. The only electrical problem is that the circuit board in the steering wheel needs to be replaced so the remote controls for the radio will work again. One speaker needs replacing. The radio itself, and all the local controls are fine. Please contact me if you want more information on the car, or would like to come out and see it. Thanks for looking!
