1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA -5.7 Liter V8 Tuned Port Injection- These vehicles are getting rarer and rarer nowadays. You are bidding on a tremendous car from a tremendous seller who has 100% positive feedback. The car has been in our family since it was first bought 21 years ago and the 5.7 liter V8 Tuned Port Iinjectoin Engine runs just like it did then. Only a few years away from having "antique" status. The vehicle is up for sale because I was intending to fix up the exterior (rust spots, scratches, etc.) but have not been able to save much with high gas prices and two other cars to take care of. Never been smoked in; never been in an accident; extremely clean interior; has had all routine maintenance performed on a regular basis. The rust, scratches and rotting in the hatchback mostly came when my brother had it at his home in wisconsin for a few years. It was not garage kept and some brutal winters got the best of it. However, this vehicle has never had any transmission or engine problems. It still has plenty of speed. Parts that need replacing: radio antenna; washerfluid release; cruise control; hatchback release and keyhole; driver's seat adjustment lever; break calipers; a/c heater part(burned out part, unit does not work consistently because of it). All I know is that we have pictures of this car the day after my dad drove it off the lot and it was the most beautiful vehicle I have ever seen, even to this day. When I used to drive it, I felt like Dr. Brown in Back to the Future the way the car ligths up inside with the controls and how it sounds and drives. It looks awesome and feels awesome, unlike any other new car you can go buy today. If I had the space and the money and did not have to worry about gas prices, I would take this car over any new mustang or corvette out there. This car is worth restoring and keeping forever. In terms of bidding and the transaction, I am a straight shooter. Do not bid on this car if you are not going to pay for it. I repeat, do not bid on this car if you are not going to pay for it. I have dealt with trash before who have placed bids on things and then never paid for them, claiming their children placed bids witout them knowing it. Then they didnt care about the situation and didnt care that I pursued the matter and left them negative feedback's and strikes because they had other accounts. If you are one of those people, go waste your time somewhere else. This vehilce will be paid by two ways: 1. Paypal (within 72 hours after the closing time; after then, I start to get nervous ). 2. Cash in person. I expect the winning bidder to communicate with me. I will get a hold of them by email or phone and we need to determine if you are picking up the vehilce or if I am shipping it to you. There is a DAS by my residence and believe they have their own website. I will send you an invoice if you choose to go this route, adding the cost of shipping to your final bid. I will send the title first class to you without charge and that should settle things. The car is located in Illinios, about 60 miles south of Chicago to give you an idea. More pictures can be sent to you by request but please request what kind of pictures you want of what part of the vehicle. If you live in the area and want to see the car in person or drive it or get it looked at, I have no problem with this. Just email me as soon as possible in regards to this because I may be out of town for a few days. Happy bidding and once again, do not bid on this car if you are not going to pay for it.
