Up for Auction is a 1977 Pontiac Formula Firebird. Those of you, who always wanted that Vintage Firebird, take a look at this one. This 1977 Vintage Formula Firebird is still in pretty good shape and was in California for most of its life. The engine is a Holly with a double pump carb. 403 Big Block V8 that still starts right up first try. Being that this car was a work in progress over the last 8 years, the car has been driven lightly and was mostly sitting undriven, but was stored inside except for one year. The owners just put in a new rebuilt transmission with shift kit, so there are no worry’s there. They also put on a Moog suspension within the last few years. There is no air conditioner and the knob for the heat fan is missing. Not sure if the climate control unit is functioning correctly or not. It was pretty hot with the knob on vent. The radio is not too old, it turned on but it didn’t put out any sound, not sure what the problem is there. The tires are in good shape and will last for a while. The windows seemed to work just fine, but the clock was not working. The car pulls slightly to the right and the brakes felt a little spongy or soft. All the electrics seem to be working. We don’t know if the mileage has been rolled over or not, but we guess that it has. The car has been driven less than a couple hundred miles in the last 8 years. The exterior of the car is in good shape. The car was repainted Black sometime over the last couple of years with several coats of clear coat and has new stainless steel trim. I could see very little rust and the underbody looks great. The emblems are missing from both sides of the car and there are a few spots that have small paint chips, scratches or streaks on the paint. I am not sure if the streaks and scratches will buff out or not. I did not see any dents. The interior is in fair to good shape. The carpet is in average shape. The interior trim looks good except the drivers side mirror adjuster does not have a cover and the back seat belts holders don’t have covers either. The seats are not original and are in good shape. Even with the minor problems this car has it’s still a nice Formula and would be fun to own and drive. This Formula Firebird has a reserve price that is within the going rate so don’t wait to bid and miss out on the car. The owner has not put a “buy it now” on this car, but if the right offer comes along he will sell it as a “buy it now” and end the auction, so don’t wait to bid your high bid or make an offer. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 1995 or with more than 100K miles.
