Vehicle Description
YES IT’S YELLOW!! And it goes like the wind and handles like a sports car.
I bought it in California recently and drove it 1700 miles to San Antonio. I STILL find it hard to believe but I AVERAGED OVER 30 mpg (Hey, at $4.99 a GALLON I got outta CA as fast as I could!) I added NO oil during the trip but the oil was just below the FULL mark when I arrived. UNBELIEVABLE! Oil pressure over 40 lbs @ 60mph. And except for front wheel bearing noise (been replaced) it drove flawlessly. Tracks as straight as an arrow. At 20 years and counting, obviously it isn’t a new car! But the steering wheel is hard as a rock, trans shifts like new, outer “dew wipes” are 3 weeks old, tires have about 80% tread left and the seats LOOK like new.
The PO recently replaced:
Distributor
Ignition Module
Ignition Coil
EGR Vacuum Sensor (expensive part)
Plugs, Wires, Cap, Rotor
EGR Valve
Air Filter, PCV Valve
Oxygen Sensor
Idle Air Control Valve
But I must tell you, if you are the shy type, THIS IS NOT THE CAR FOR YOU! It gets more attention at gas stations or stop lights than a stripper in church!

“Nope, Fiero!”
“Who makes ‘em?”
“Nobody!”
Then you give ‘em a BIIIIIG smile and floor it. How fast will it go? Dunno. Fast enough.
It has no radio but it appears to have Performance Sound, because the map light rheostat and sub-woofer are there. Put in the radio of your choice. The PO removed the radio and cut the wires so short at the connector you gotta get a magnifying glass to see them. But a connector WITH WIRES comes with the car. Splice ‘em.
This car starts immediately and seems eager to go. Power windows and locks are typical Fiero—slow. But they work. You also get tilt wheel, rear trunk release AND the OEM Fiero “Vista Vent” (sunroof) cover and bag AS WELL AS the front sunroof deflector. AND OEM floor mats in very good condition. Try to find all of THOSE goodies in the next car you buy! Someone liked this Fiero!!
The bad? Well, nobody’s perfect. AC needs a charge, fan works on all speeds but only blows out the defroster vent. Electric mirrors don’t move electrically (set ‘em manually and forget ‘em). Various insignificant nicks in the paint.
Why am I selling it? Frankly, I want a little less attention. I didn’t know I’d be a Stoplight Star when I bought it. I’m content to just drive. But if YOU love being smothered with questions and admiring glances, THIS IS YOUR CAR!!
I feel confident that this car may be driven anywhere (on highways) within the US, so you can save the e-mails. J I have tried to describe it completely and honestly. If I missed anything of consequence, I apologize but it was not intentional and therefore cannot be used as a reason NOT to accept the car after you win the auction. This is a 20 year-old car. It has “character marks” and a personality, like any 20 year-old car. But in my opinion, is in MUCH better condition than the average 20 year-old car. And only 137k miles. That’s fewer than 7000 miles per year.
Now for the nitty gritty. Please remember, this is an AUCTION to BUY the car, not to INSPECT it. When you win, IT IS YOURS. The only other aspect is—YOU PAY FOR IT. If you wish to inspect it (BEFORE THE AUCTION CLOSES), I will be happy to set an appointment to show it to you. If you live near San Antonio, I urge you to see it. I think you’ll be as sold on the car as I am.
Payment will be as follows: $1000 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit, over night by USPS, FEDEX or UPS. Over night means exactly what it says. If you don’t have $1000 to send overnight (as in IMMEDIATELY!) DO NOT BID! This payment will be in the form of USPS MONEY ORDER ONLY! That means NO CHECKS, NO OTHER MONEY ORDERS (no Walmart, 7-11, etc.) and NO CASHIER’S CHECKS FROM NIGERIAN BANKS (or any other banks, for that matter).
Balance to be paid within 7 days (not business days) either by CASH at pickup OR USPS money order RECEIVED within the 7 days from end of auction. Car must be picked up within 15 days of end of auction UNLESS OTHER MUTUALLY AGREEABLE ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE.
Transport is the obligation of the buyer. I’ll help by being available but that is about all I can promise. However, if you are a Fiero enthusiast, YOU’LL LOVE THIS CAR. Buy it AND drive it home!! Just don’t stop at many STOP LIGHTS!!

Because of an accident on my part (not with the car), I have personally been unable to replace the front bearing. Therefore, since I already have the replacement bearing, I will include this bearing in the auction and deduct $100 from the selling price so the buyer can install it or have it installed. I apologize for any inconvenience.
