Vehicle Description
Rarely will you find a 1984 Lotus Turbo Esprit (carbureted) in such fine conditions. This Florida car is very reliable and can be used as a daily driver. All gauges, instruments and systems work. Very good air conditioning and heater. Never involved in an accident. Clean Florida Title. Very good brakes. Clutch is strong and transmission shifts smoothly.
About 2,000 miles ago the engine was removed for required maintenance. The timing belt, water pump, and all hoses and belts were replaced. The turbo was rebuilt, spark plugs were installed as well as ignition wires, distributor cap, air filter and fuel filter. The clutch was replaced earlier. The paint is like new having been repainted around the same time.
The interior is also in good shape (see photos). Nevertheless, there are some imperfections such as the bolster in the passenger seat has a small split (the thread came undone) and the instrument pod has a crack in the leather (not uncommon for these cars). The sun visor cloth needs replacement.
This vehicle is being sold “as is”. Buyer inspection is welcomed. Please note that while overall it is a fabulous car and feels great to drive, it is not new. Please feel free to contact me with any question regarding this car.
Payment is in cashier’s check or bank transfer. A deposit of 10% (non-refundable) must be paid within 24 hours of the close of auction. The remaining balance is to be paid within 5 days. Do not bid if you don’t have good feedback. No bidders with zero or negative feedback in the last six months. Buyer is responsible for picking the car up or arranging for transportation. Seller will assist.
