Up for auction is a 1999 Ferrari Modena 6 Speed. This is a Euro model (48 State) car, legally imported by Champagne Imports, Inc. (Registered Importer)(See Photo). It has not been CARB certified for California compliance. Since this is a Euro car and per ebay policy, I've included all zero's in the description portion of the listing since ebay does not recognize the Euro VIN. The correct VIN is ZFFYR51B000116318.
The Ferrari was purchased here on ebay approximately two years ago from Texas. Its body and interior have been significantly enhanced and modified for show purposes. The Ferrari has attended numerous shows, including SEMA and has served as a promotional tool for a custom performance and accessories company.
The car runs and drives very well and is only showing a little over 14,300 miles on it. It starts up with no issues and its 6 speed transmission shifts smoothly and precisely as it should! Everything appears to be in good working order. The drive-train is all original right down to the exhaust (however it has Capristo Tips).
The exterior of the car has had the extremely expensive Novitec-Rosso Body Kit installed. Including the Front and Rear Bumpers, Side Skirt Winglets, Rear Diffuser, Rear Wing and Rear Challenge Carbon Grille. It has also been fitted with Custom Fit DPE 19” wheels.
The interior is absolutely beautiful and very nicely done! The seats alone are extremely expensive fully adjustable carbon-fiber backed Cobra Seats, that have been upholstered with a high-end suede material and red stitching that matches the door panels, A-pillars and Dash. The original idea was to just go after the same look as the Challenge Stradale’s Alcantara Dash, but the upholster y guy got a little carried away and the end result is pretty nice. Additionally, the door panel aluminum was polished and then brushed to give it that subtle look. The overall interior looks fantastic and not over-done. Even the dash looks to have been done by the factory.
The car has now been parked in our warehouse and rarely used. The car has had the clear bra treatment to the front as well as the windshield. There are a few scuffs in the paint and a few scratches, but in all the car looks extremely nice. The front and rear fender- lips have sustained some minor scratches from different tire sizes being test fitted to the car over the year, but you have to really look underneath the fenders to see them. The other problem is that at some point the rear wheels had not been tightened down all the way and had vibrated the lug nut openings on the rear wheels to a very slight oblong shape. They could have been tightened down and secured back on the car, but decided to play it safe and removed the DPE wheels from the car and installed the original factory Ferrari Wheels back on. The DPE’s are still included in the sale, but will require repairs to be perfect. At the advice of the local Ferrari Dealer, all new Hubs and Lugs were fitted as well! The original rims have some minor scuffs and chips on the lips.
This Ferrari is very unique and priced to sell. It has a clean Arizona Title and the personalized plates can be included with the sale, if requested. I can be reached via telephone at (714) 624-6956 California Time.
Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask! Also, inspections are welcomed and advised! The vehicle is being sold as is, with no warranty!
