1979 Corvette Project Car. Runs and Drives. $2800 Or NR
You are looking at a 1979 Corvette, it runs and drives! But as you can see, it's a project! This car has a 4 speed transmission and a 350 engine, not sure if original. I have many additional parts that will come with the car including the gauge cluster shown in the pictures. I am asking 2800 for the car. 949-285-8011
Exterior wise, the car was obviously has had the original front end replaced with a different one. However, the installation of the front end was not really completed and it will need to be refitted to fit like stock. The rear end of the car is in decent shape as you can see. I really didn't check the frame to see if it was bent, so this may be a possibility. It will need lots of tlc.
Interior wise, the car is what it is! The front seats are there with rips in drivers side and also some in passenger side. Carpeting is original and in poor shape. The dash is not in bad shape, center console around the shifter is brand new (not installed properly), arm rest is there but is set in place. I have the speedometer and tachometer gauge cluster which is ready to be installed. It will really need someone with experience to go though and put everything back! There are wires everywhere and most of the dash is apart. Rear luggage area is not bad, it has a brand new battery. I have a box of nuts and bolts, odds and ends that will come with the car!
Mechanically, the car has a 350 in it, and a 4 speed transmission. It has been sitting since 1992 and hasn't been on the road since before then. It runs off an external gas can that we made. It actually runs well but only for about 30 seconds then the carb floods or runs out of gas. Not sure why. But the engine does sound good. The car goes into gear and can be parking lot driven in short bursts. I am not sure how the transmission is or clutch other than knowing it goes into gear and drives. The brakes will need to be gone through, the ebrake does work. It will need a complete overhaul! I have a smog pump, shroud and a fan and some other mechanical parts.
I am asking $2800 for the car as it sits. I have all the paperwork from the last owner but do not have the title, it is far out of the DMV system (16 years), so it will come with a bill of sale. It is a complete project! So it is as is, consider it needing almost everything to be redone! Call with questions 949-285-8011

Has a used replacement front clip
The clip needs to be properly installed, was temporarily installed as it is to save space.
Front left fender has a crack across the top.
The interior is as you can see, in need of TLC! I have many small parts and nut and bolts to put it back together.
Seats are ripped, but comfortable and perfecly functional
Passenger side seat in fair shape
The dash pad is not in bad shape
Gauge cluster is all there
4 speed trans, center console is new and not installed.
The ebrake works.

Both seats fold forward as they should
Glove box is in good shape, I have a brand new inside box for it.
Both door panels are in good condition
Rear luggage compartment is in nice shape
I have the headliner to the drivers side t-top
Glass on the car is all in good shape
Has steel wheels, all tires hold air but are old
This 350 runs well, but the carb is gummed up so it doesn‘t get the fuel it needs, see the video of the engine running above!
