Vehicle Description
Up for bid is my 1990 Buick Reatta.
The GOOD:
This car is rust free with it's original paint. There are only a tiny door ding or two on the body.
Interior is in Good shape with wear showing on the driver seat and door. Staining on carpet, but presents well.
Engine is STRONG! This baby HAULS! BIG 3.8L Riviera engine stuffed into a small sportscar.
New Tires. $500 worth! Toyo Proxes4. These alone are nearly worth the starting price.
Everything inside works just fine. (Radio is in trunk, I have not had a chance to reinstall it since I bought the car)
Good Replament (used) front shock/spring assemblies are included as well.
The BAD:
Minor front end damage. (I have a rust free replacement hood and bumper parts to repair.) Only cosmetic, no frame damage...just dented hood. I also have a spare tail light lens) Replacement hood, bumpers and tail lens will be difficult to ship unless you pick up. Separate arrangement should be made if you want these parts.
Transmission will not shift above second gear. I have been driving this car for a year and it cruises fine up to and past 50 MPH in second. 35 MPH is very comfortable around town with gear selector in 2nd.
Brakes need attention. I believe it is the Pump Motor (ABS Wheel sensors are bad also) and I am including a tested good motor as well. (See photo of parts) Both Yellow and Red brakes lights are on.
Starter is going out.....sometimes it starts, sometimes it doesn't. Replacement starter included as well.
Drivers door handle is broken/missing.
Overall, this is a GREAT little project Reatta. With a little elbow grease, this will be a fine cruiser or sports car.
Car is driveable, but with only manual front brakes and 2 gears.....not very far. Best Trailored.
All Glass is good. I've seen windshields alone for these cars sell for $700!!!!
I've run out of room and time, so I'm selling off my project cars to focus on my '59 and '65 Buicks!
