THIS CAR DOES NEED SOME RESTORATION. I AM THE SECOND OWNER OF THIS RARE AMERICAN MUSCLE CLASSIC. I PURCHASED IT FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER IN JUNE OF 1997. IT HAS BEEN IN ALABAMA SINCE NEW. IF I COULD AFFORD TO RESTORE IT I WOULD NOT BE SELLING IT. TO MY KNOWLEDGE IT HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE CARFAX IS GOOD. IT HAS 121,625 ORIGINAL MILES ON THE ENGINE AND RUNS STRONG. THE ORIGINAL OWNER SMOKED IN IT SOME BUT IT HAS NOT BEEN SMOKED IN SINCE I BOUGHT IT IN 1997. IT HAS THE RARE CARPETED TRUNK KIT USUALLY ONLY FOUND IN THE GNX. IT DOES HAVE THE HOLY GRAIL OF THESE CARS THE FACTORY OPTIONS DECAL INSIDE THE TRUNK. THE DRIVETRAIN (ENGINE AND TRANS.) IS NUMBERS MATCHING ORIGINAL. IT DOES HAVE PERFORMANCE UPGRADES BUT ALL ARE BOLT ON PARTS. IT COULD EASILY BE PUT BACK TO STOCK CONDITION. THE UPGRADES ARE AS FOLLOWS: AWESOME NEW TECH GARRETT GT SERIES TURBO, HOOKER CAT BACK EXHAUST, POSTON HEADERS, POSTON 3" DOWNPIPE, ALKY INJECTION SYSTEM, LS1 MAF TRANSLATOR, VOLT BOOSTER, HOT WIRED UPGRADE FUEL PUMP, HOME MADE RAM AIR KIT THAT WORKS VERY WELL, AND NITTO DRAG RADIALS MOUNTED ON WIDENED FACTORY STOCK WHEELS FROM G-BODY PARTS. THIS CAR RUNS STRONG. MECHANICAL PROBLEMS ARE AS FOLLOWS: TRANS. NEEDS SECOND GEAR AND IT HAS THE TYPICAL TURBO BUICK REAR MAIN OIL LEAK, AND IT HAS AN BATTERY DRAIN PROBLEM. OTHER AREAS THAT NEED ADDRESSING: POWER ANTENNA DOESNT WORK, AC NEEDS CHARGING, AND INTERIOR NEEDS SOME RESTORING. BUT NO ONE WOULD SAY THIS IS A BAD LOOKING CAR AND AGAIN EXCEPT FOR THE TRANS. NEEDING REPAIR IT RUNS STRONG.
