After much debate I have decided to sell my car. I have dumped well over 16k into this project and I have decided I just am not into BMWs anymore and want to do something new since the car was built to get into road racing and I want to go back to drag racing honestly as thats what I know how to do. So here are the details. 92 318 is with unknown chasis mileage (this will be explained in a bit), 99 euro M3 evo motor (321hp euro motor installed by AKG motorsports), US 5 speed M3 trans, euro differential with LSD, full euro 2.5" exhaust and tubular header, brembo 4 piston calipers on euro E46 floating rotors, US m3 rear discs, rogue engineering short shift, racing dynamics front and rear adjustable sways, full euro suspension components, euro 3 spoke wheel, euro gauges that came from the car the motor was in (64k miles), full M3 kit with LTW low style wing, euro headlights, the car has very clean interior for the age and also has an eclipse headunit and JL XRs in the rear. I also have redone the headliner and door panel inserts in matching suede.
Now the bad. It badly needs suspension work. The stock shocks are blown but the euro springs are fine and give the car a mild drop and nice rates. It also needs a suspension bushing overhaul as that is one of the most common E36 problems. I also belive differential mounts will help. The short shift is not letting it fully go in reverse all the time causeing it to pop out of reverse sometimes though the shop who did the swap is pretty confident the short shifter is the issue and I haven't gotten around to this as it isn't to big a deal. Needs rear brake pads and there is a vacume leak somewhere the causes the car to idle funny when it feels like it. Last but not least it needs a water pump as it has a slow leak. All in all for anyone familiar with these cars you need a few bucks and a day of your time and you have yourself the ultimate E36 M3. Keep in mind the motor is no backyard special, it has been installed by a very reputable BMW tuning shop and it cost over 10k to get this motor in the car. the motor alone before taxes and little parts here and there is 8k.
So this is a mostly complete euro M3 conversion that just needs some suspension and bugs worked out. The car definetly drives good as I have been driving it for the last year and a half without a single issue with the car other than the water starting to leak about a week ago. It has actually been the most reliable car I ever owned so this can be used as a daily driver or what would be nice is to see this beast get ready for the track.
