For Sale: 1998 Cosmos on Magma M3, 147K miles, Coupe 5 speed, 3 spoke, vaders. M50 + bolt ons, all major maintenance completed, no accidents, rust free, fantastic shape!
You are looking at a great example of an accident free, well maintained, and very strong running 1998 M3 5 speed manual Coupe. As you can tell from the pictures, the Cosmos black metallic paint shines beautifully and shows well even up close. The rare and desirable magma leather interior looks great and the vader style seats provide superb comfort and show only normal wear. Because this is a later build 98', it has the 3 spoke steering wheel, side air bags, and rear headrests. It's also fitted with a 6 disc in-trunk CD changer, 18 button OBC, keyless (with window roll up), and all the standard BMW power and safety options.
The cars stance and handling characteristics have been enhanced with an HR/Koni suspension tied to Rouge rear shock mounts, SSR Intigral A2 17", BMW X brace, in addition to polyurethane RTABs and LCABs. The braking feel has been improved with UUC stainless steel brake lines and fresh fluid. All four wheels have Kumho SPTs.
The engine has received the standard bolt on tuning. It's already equipped an M50 intake, Cosmos CAI, and UUC exhaust all running off Dinan Stage III software. The cooling system and accessory drives have been updated with a premium Stewart EMP water pump, new hoses, belts, ac pulley, t-stat, Radiator and housing. Always maintained with synthetic motor oil and BMW filters this engine is one of the strongest S52s I've driven.
The drivetrain benefits from UUC trans mounts, UUC short shifter. Clutch pick-up and holding power is great. The gearbox and differential have been filled with Redline products.
Up close and when driving you'd never realize this car has 147k miles.
Bad...Rear tail light has some water in it but a simple replacement with a new gasket should fix this no problem!
I bought the Car in May with 143k on the clock from a Bimmerforums member In GA. Now my famialy is growing and I now need a 4 door. Since I had the car I did the full leather M3 lighted shift knob, Alpine cd player with Ipod, Wheels, exhaust and ac pully, and oil srvc
I also still have the stock stag m contours. If one might want those more than the ssrs I will swap back to make the sale
