Here you will find a beautifully preserved 1957 Austin Healey 100-6 BN4. As you can see in the pictures, it appears to be an unmolested original in great shape for being a 51 year old car! The car runs and drives very well. It comes equipped with an electronic overdrive transmission. There is a small leak around the overdrive but I have a complete set of replacement seals. The car currently has a Triumph set of gears in the rear end which the previous owner put in as a temporary fix while he sent the gearbox to be rebuilt. I have the completely rebuilt gear set currently out of the car. My understanding is that it is a very easy process to pull the existing one and replace it with the original. I also have a complete set of seals and gaskets for the gearbox. The differential casing is original to the car.
The paint appears to be original. The seats are in almost perfect condition as well as the door panels. The carpet needs to be replaced. The body, as obviously apparent by the pictures, is in very nice shape. Of course, it does have its share of small dents and scratches throughout but again, this is a 51 year old car. The frame and the floors are very solid with the exception of the trunk floor; which eventually needs to be repaired or replaced. The door jams and the strikers are very solid and align very well. I have a few boxes of parts, many of which are still in plastic bags, to go with the car. The car also comes with a brand new set of chrome wire wheels and the tires look almost new as well. I have the convertible top frame but the canvas top needs to be replaced.
I will sell this car worldwide provided it is paid in full and all funds cleared before shipping. I will also store the car at no additional cost until the buyer can make shipping arrangements. Of course, the buyer pays all shipping costs.
Payment may be made by certified bank check or money order, or by loan check once cleared. Paypal is only acceptable through verified accounts for the initial deposit only. Buyer agrees to pay the remaining balance due within 7 days of the close of the auction. All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle. Buyer is responsible (if applicable) for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered in. Vehicle is sold as is and does not have warranty.
I will have a clear title on hand in approximately 4-6 weeks(maybe less); depending on how quickly the DMV works. All this means is that the car will be sold with a Bill of Sale pending arrival of the clear title. I will do a notarized Bill of Sale and include a statement to the fact that I will be responsible for providing the buyer with a title for the vehicle.
I will store the car for a reasonable time at no additional cost until the buyer can make arrangements to ship the vehicle. Please feel free to ask any questions.
